  • No, our design visits are no obligation and free of charge. Plans and proposals remain the property of Ernest Stanley until an order is placed.

  • Your design visit will last approximately 1 hour based on 1 room. If you have multiple rooms, please allow an extra 30 minutes per extra room.

  • You can make a design visit appointment by emailing us at info@erneststanley.co.uk and we will book you in at a convenient time that suits you.

    Our designer will visit you to understand your storage needs, help with your desired door design and colour finish, creating the ideal design based on your choices you have made.

    Our designer will also do a complete survey of the room/s taking accurate measurements which will save our clients’ time and costs. Unlike some other companies who try to sell their designs and products during their first visit without proper measurements, we will ensure accurate measurements so that you will not have to arrange a further surveyor’s visit at your cost if the original design doesn’t fit.

  • Yes, we do have CAD software which is specially created for Ernest Stanley. During your design survey, our designer will check if all details and measurements are precise and create a bespoke CAD drawing of your room.

  • Yes, you can cancel or re-arrange your design visit by emailing us at info@erneststanley.co.uk. Our request is to give us as much notice as possible so we can free up appointments slots for other clients.

  • We advise that you wait until you have moved in so we can measure up properly. Our bedroom and fitted living furniture is made and fitted within 4-8 weeks, so you’ll be all set before you know it.

  • Your designer will email you a CAD design of your room/s within 1-2 days with costs. Arrange a telephone call to discuss the designs and we will answer all the questions you might have.

  • This will vary depending on the type of service/products you have purchased from us. Please, speak to one of our designers who will be able to advise you on payment dates.

  • Our delivery team will bring all necessary pieces and carefully place them into the room and area where the furniture will be installed. Our request is to clear the area where your fitted furniture will be built and also roll back carpets so that the wardrobes can be built onto the floor boards.

  • There is no need to worry, our experienced designer will help explore all the design options that fit the room based on all your storage needs.

  • Lead times vary throughout the year depending on how busy we are and how quickly the factories can deliver the products. We are usually able to install a bedroom or home office within 4-8 weeks after placing an order with us. Our designer will be able to advise you on a more accurate timing.

  • On average, a bedroom or home office takes 1-2 days to install, depending on size and design.

  • We’re so confident that your new bedroom or home office is manufactured to the very highest standard, that we guarantee all our products for a full 10 years. And, on top of that, we also guarantee our workmanship for 2 years which means, if any defects, caused by workmanship, are noticed within 2 years of the installation, we’ll put it right.

  • All of our furniture is manufactured in the UK and we are conscious of the footprint we leave behind. We aim to reduce our impact on the environment by making sure that no extra materials are ordered, reducing waste materials and costs to our clients.
